Trust me, you will be obsessed. I wear mine every day and make sure to leave it somewhere safe if not on my head because I do not want my dog Charlie, the harbinger of chaos, to eat it. You think I’m joking…
Now for the long version:
You’ve all heard me wax poetic about how proud we are to manufacture as much as we can here at home. You are also well aware that we love working with our friends. Our RealTree Realness Hat is a perfect union of all those things.
The RealTree Realness Hat is made in Los Angeles by none other than Mr. Kyle Kelley. We love Kyle, not only does he own the dopest shop in Los Angeles, Allez L.A, but he is also a one-of-a-kind human, passionate about his community, a man that elevates causes that are near and dear to his (and our heart), a phenomenal father and husband. If you are in Los Angeles, you would be remiss to not stop by his shop and say hi (and buy stuff).
One of our best friends, artist, and cycling fanatic, Brett Stenson designed the metal logo. While the lifestyle shots for the hats were taken by two wonderfully talented photographers, Molly Lofton and Chloë Spritz.
When I tell you we love working with our friends, I AM NOT LYING TO YOU NOR EXAGGERATING!
I will let you in on a little secret, here at The Athletic, we work in really, really small batches, so when we make something, it is most likely, a one run, one-time item. Why? Because it’s fun, it keeps things really fresh, and because we have so many cool designs we want to make them all.
