42nd Avenue has been getting a face lift these days. Maybe it started with Pizza Jerk, but maybe it started a while before that. Who's really to stay? All we know is that Jenn Pereau chose the street to open her cafe and that's just fine with us. It gives us an amazing excuse to head out that way and visit all the mouth watering delights in that neck of the woods. More importantly, what was once just the delicious Rawdacious Deserts you've seen around town now has a new home and a name - Tiny Moreso.
Traditionally Jenn and her crew have done raw deserts and granola. At least that's how we know her, from their Lunch Ride™ bars that saved our lives more than once a few years back. Well, that and the silky smooth slices of vegan cheese cake that Canteen has trouble keeping in stock. But, now there's a place to go to not only meet the legend herself — you can find her behind the counter most days — but see the delicious cake making in action.
We took a few new socks and went out there to see what she was "cooking" up. A heads up text that we sent contained an image of our three new Digi Camo Socks and Jenn responded with - "Ah - sizzle berry, strawberry lemon and matcha! or key lime." And from that point on we knew she was on board to help match some of her tasty treats to our tasty feets. Hmm. Ok, maybe that doesn't work out as well as we had thought? Anyway, you get the idea. Plus, she went ahead and made some fruity combinations of desert that paired nicely with our new hosiery.
Side Note: Yes, there are three colors in this collection... but we kept the teal/matcha/key lime flavor to send to our subscribers first. Wait, what? You're not signed up for a subscription box? Well, then you're going to have to wait! Sorry Charlie, as we do so love this color.
Anyway, the Tiny Moreso Café is just plain awesome. There are avocado's painted on the walls and a nice sunny mural running the length of the hall to the bathroom. In fact everything falls easy on the eyes, the palate of everything being muted, but bright at the same time. If that's possible? It's possible.
The socks themselves turned out great, in our humble opinion. So, it was great to see them paired nicely with a beet juice blast (our name) and some fantastic looking avocado toast with house made cashew drizzle dressing. If you're not hungry by the time you're done reading this, then there's a chance we did something wrong.
Now get in there.
