Last Saturday the usual suspects showed up at the weekly run — rain included — with a little extra incentive to get out there. Our pals from San Francisco based sunglass company Sunski were on hand to dole out a few pairs of their newest specs while Proud Mary Coffee ensured that everyone was extremely caffeinated. Extremely being the keyword.
"The rain held off" is generally what we like to say when we are dealing with events, but this was not to be the case. The groups of runners were happy to have new sunglasses (and a new extra tall display) to check out instead of venturing out into the wet day. They did it though (we were proud of them), with the promise of more glasses and more coffee at the finish.
However, the sun broke through and by the time people were returning, it was all smiles and sunshine in Portland, Oregon. Those new Champagne Ocean Treelines probably didn't hurt anything either. Swing through the shop and check out the new styles.
