Sometimes on the road of life, a straight up train gets in your way.
For some reason, the weather took a turn last weekend. There was a chill in the air that felt, undeniably fall-like. There's no use fighting it, it's on the way. So, we put on our wool socks and packed an extra jacket and did some "urban exploring."
This has been one of the best parts about coming back from an injury. Are there any bad parts really? After you've turned the corner and started going for it? The freedom that was once taken for granted holds a whole new relish. Especially hot on the heels on a rough bought of "cabin fever."
So, what do you do when your usual urban exploration gets stopped by a train. Climb over and keep going, that's what we say. Ok, maybe we can't officially recommend that you do that, but it's just a suggestion.
It was also "new bike day" for Prince and his Ritchey Swiss Cross. So, there was that to stand around and gawk at. Maybe make him pose for a couple photos and look all tough as well? It's just what you do when you're out riding bikes with this crew. Besides, look at those gumwalls!
There were more than a few cool bikes to look at though. Single speed carbon Giant with bags for snacks. Titanium Moots cross bike with sand ready file treads. Even Greg's old as hell Continental bike made an appearance. Good stuff, good stuff all around.
